With CYCLOsportive we have been able to organize a number of very nice tours through Italy in recent years. The disadvantage of an organized tour is that the period is fixed. With CYCLOsportive we now want everyone to enjoy the great routes that we have cycled with our guests in the past.
The Dolomites Gravel Escape takes you to great heights, over beautiful and sometimes tough gravel paths in the Dolomites. The Trento Gravel Escape takes you over old military roads that have their origins in the First World War. The old front line is now a true gravel paradise. In Tuscany you can enjoy the Strade Bianche Trail. In addition to the well-known gravel sections of Strade Bianche, this route takes you over rough gravel sectors that are only suitable for gravel bikes! Finally (in addition to all this gravel violence) you can visit the Dolomites Escape enjoy the Sella Ronda, Lago Misurina, Passo dell Erbe and Passo Gardena on your racing bike.
When booking you can choose between the trip with or without accommodation (half board). As soon as the booking has been received by us, we will arrange the accommodations for you.
The journeys Trento Gravel Escape, Strade Bianche Trail and Dolomites Escape can also be booked as a trip with full support. If you book one of the trips without support, you can choose between:
1 Route + Accommodation (including route book, gpx, goodies and half board accommodations, excluding tourist tax)
2 Only the route (including route book, gpx and goodies)
For both options, we are happy to think along about the daily distance. If the route as we rode it with our guests is too heavy or too light for you, please indicate this when booking. We will then look for an alternative that suits your level and needs.
For all our trips we indicate which level of cyclist the trip is suitable for.
The journey can be given 1, 2, 3 or 4 mountains to indicate how difficult the journey is.
The route book and goodies will be sent to your home by post.

01. What is the average distance per day?
The average distance varies between 40 and 80 km per day, depending on the trip. Sometimes a bit more. This is suitable for cyclists with a reasonable to good condition.
02. Do I have to bring my own bicycle?
Yes, generally. On some trips you can also rent a bike. On trips that involve flying, a bike can generally be rented. This is stated during the booking process.
03. Is there a follow-up vehicle available?
No, these are self-supported trips.
04. Can I determine the route myself?
We have designed a nice basic route for you. Is this too heavy or too light for you? Let us know and we will think along about alternatives.
05. Is the trip suitable for beginners?
No, you do need to be in good shape. Experience with cycling in the mountains is also a plus. As is a good technique to be able to cycle difficult gravel sections.
06. What is included in the price?
With the self supported trip you can choose between 1 accommodation + route or 2 only the route. In the first case you will receive a route book, gpx files, goodies and we will book the accommodations half board for you. In the second case you will only receive the route book, the gpx files and the goodies.
07. Are the routes difficult?
The difficulty level varies. For the trips with a Granfondo we offer routes that ensure that you are fit at the start on the day of the Granfondo. You cycle less than on a tour where longer and heavier rides are offered. For the tours, the participants have a choice almost every day between a longer/heavier or shorter/easier route.
08. Do I need to take out insurance?
Yes, travel and cancellation insurance is always recommended, as well as insurance for damage to the bike or medical emergencies.
09. What type of accommodation is used?
After a day of cycling you want to be able to relax. That is why we at CYCLOsportive generally stay in 4-star hotels. Occasionally we stay in a 3-star hotel, but then we think it deserves 4 stars! We know how important it is to be able to rest in a good bed and to be able to eat well in the evening and enjoy a good breakfast in the morning!
10. How do I get my bike to its destination?
You are responsible for ensuring that you and your bicycle arrive at the starting point of the trip.
11. How can I best prepare for the trip in terms of training?
Keep in mind that you will be cycling for four or five days in a row. If you are not used to this, practice this at home. In addition, it is advisable to use a training schedule (at least 3 months) to be well trained.
